The Sharks and Blues meet up again on Thursday night as the series shifts to San Jose for the next two with each team winning a game in St Louis.
The Blues took one on the chin in game two as the Sharks completely dominated from start to finish and ceased home ice advantage and plenty of momentum as the Blues look to take some of it back and reclaim home ice by salvaging at least a split on the road. The Blues are a very deep team across the board and have some of the game’s best blue liners but this is the most physical group of forwards they have seen in these playoffs and the Sharks look like a team on a mission right now and it may prove to be too much for the Blues to overcome. Brian Elliott will get the call in the St. Louis crease as he will match up against Martin Jones who is coming off one of his best efforts of the playoffs.
San Jose returns home looking to take the series lead and if they can harness the same energy and level of play that we have seen in the first two they should be in great shape for the next two games on home ice. The Sharks have had a tough draw so far as they have outlasted the Kings and Predators who are two very good teams that can throw the body around but now they see a Blues side that has more finesse than the Sharks are used to and that could prove difficult in a setting where the Sharks get out of their rhythm and comfort zone. However, with the way the forward group has been playing in this series for the Sharks I think they keep it rolling here and grab the series lead tonig
