The Bolts look to add another to the win column and take their second game in as many tries as they face off against the Sharks on Saturday night.
The Tampa Bay Lightning haven't had the start to the season they or anyone else expected as the reigning Eastern Conference champions sit in sixth place in the Atlantic division and are 14 points behind the Canadiens for top spot. Tampa returns most of the core from last year's impressive run and while they have had to deal with some injuries they haven't played with the same sense of swagger we saw a year ago and while there is still plenty of time to turn that around and their contest on Thursday against Anaheim was a nice start they need to get rolling soon. Ben Bishop will start as he will go up against Martin Jones.
The Sharks meanwhile have taken on a different role this season as they were expected to be in a transition year but thanks to a slow start from the pacific division and their own impressive winning streak they are thinking playoffs and perhaps a division crown. San Jose sits in second place in the division and trail the Kings by only three points thanks to a two game slide and while the rest of the division is within striking distance the Sharks seem to be one of the only teams so far who have looked like a playoff contender. However, as losers of two in a row I am concerned they revert back to their streaky ways and with Tampa playing relatively desperate hockey I think we see the road team get a much needed win and send the Sharks to their third straight loss.
