Monday NHL action features the Vegas Golden Knights visiting the San Jose Sharks for game three.

The Vegas Golden Knight saw an opportunity at a 2-0 series lead go by the wayside in a 4-3, double overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks in game two.  William Karlsson gave Vegas a 1-0 lead with just under two minutes remaining in the first before doubling the advantage just 26 seconds in to the second.

Nate Schmidt scored in the third at 13:28 to forge a 3-3 tie and send the game to overtime. Schmidt also gave the Golden Knights an assist  with Marc-Andre Fleury absorbing the loss four goals given up on 47 shots.

The desperate Sharks rallied from a 2-0 deficit with three second period goals with Brent Burns beginning the rally with a power play tally at the two minute mark. Logan Couture netted the equalizer at 11:08 with Burns scoring his second at 14:07 to give San Jose the lead.

Couture scored at 5:13 in the second overtime with the man advantage to bring San Jose home with a 1-1 series tie. Joe Pavelski gave the Sharks a pair of helpers with Burns adding an assist on the winner to make the 26 save performance of Martin Jones hold up.

Under is 4-0 in Golden Knights last 4 Monday games and Golden Knights are 8-1 in their last 9 vs. a team with a winning record and Golden Knights are 5-1 in their last 6 overall. Over is 6-0-3 in Sharks last 9 Conference Semifinals games and Sharks are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and Sharks are 4-0 in their last 4 Monday games.

I still have time to dig further in to this matchup but for now  see the offenses continuing to light up the scoreboard…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
