The Anaheim Ducks struggled at the defensive end of the ice in a 5-3 defeat at Dallas that has the team looking at consecutive defeats. Anaheim took a 2-0 lead on first period goals from Jakob Silfverberg and Kiefer Sherwood while Adam Henrique tallied in the second for a 3-0 edge. Hampus Lindholm gave the Ducks two assists and John Gibson gave up four goals on 45 shots to get the loss.
The Dallas Stars offensive explosion erased a 3-0 deficit with Alexander Radulov, Connor Carrick, Jamie Benn, John Klingberg and Radek Faksa all lighting the lamp. Tyler Seguin logged two helpers to make a winner of Anton Khudobin and his 17 saves.
The St. Louis Blues saw a third period rally go for naught in a 4-3 overtime loss at Chicago on Saturday. Brayden Schenn scored twice for St. Louis with David Perron adding a goal while Jake Allen gave up all four goals to absorb the loss.
The Blackhawks received a third period goal from Alex DeBrincat who tallied the OT winner as well while Artem Anisimov and Patrick Kane scoring in the first. Cam Ward picked up the win for Chicago with 35 stops.
