The Arizona Coyotes and the St. Louis Blues meet in NHL action from the Enterprise Center on Thursday night.

The Arizona Coyotes will look to rebound from a 3-2 loss to Dallas last time out. Dallas opened the scoring just over two minutes into the game and the lead would hold for the rest of the 3rd and a good chunk of the 2nd before Taylor Hall tied the game at one later in the 2nd period. The Stars would retake the lead with just under four minutes to go in the 2nd, but Christian Fischer would again tie the game for Arizona just 2:11 later. The tie would hold up into the 3rd but Dalls would take the lead for good with just over eight minutes to go in the game as the stars slammed the door shut on any comeback attempt the rest of the way. Adin Hill took the loss, falling to 2-4-3 on the year after allowing 3 goals on 33 shots faced in the losing effort.

The St. Louis Blues will look to build on 3-0 win over New Jersey last time out. The game was scoreless through the opening 20 minutes before Ivan Barbashev gave the Blues the lead just before the midway point of the 2nd period. Barbashev doubled his goal tally and the Blues lead just over five minutes into the 3rd before Jaden Schwartz push St. Louis’ lead to 309 which ended up being too much for the Devils to overcome the rest of the way. Jordan Binnington got the win to improve to 25-11-7 on the year after stopping all 17 shots faced in the winning effort for his 2nd shutout of the season.

Arizona is 15-39 in their last 54 games playing on no rest and 1-8 in their last 9 road games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall. St. Louis is 1-5 in their last 6 games overall and 11-4 in their last 15 home games while the over is 4-0-1 in their last 5 Thursday games. Arizona is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams

The plus money would be tempting with Arizona given the amount of success the Coyotes have had in this matchup, but the Coyotes have been historically pretty bad on the second half of a back-to-back, and the Coyotes have stunk up the joint on the road lately as well. St. Louis also isn’t the team I’d want to see on the other side as the Blues are starting to get their mojo back after going through a rough patch and I think it continues with another St. Louis win here. I’ll back the Blues on the puck line to get some extra value out of the bet.
