The St. Louis Blues welcome the Montreal Canadiens to town for Thursday night NHL action.
The Montral Canadiens are eyeing back to back wins after squeezing by Detroit 3-2 on Tuesday. Andreas Athanasiou was the Detroit offense with goals in the second and third. Jimmy Howard got the loss for the Red Wings with three goals allowed on 25 shots.
Brendan Gallagher and Joel Armia lit the lamp in the second for the Canadiens with Jeff Petry scoring in the third. Tomas Tater assisted twice and Antti Niemi picked up the win for Montreal with 30 stops.
The St. Louis Blues saw their opportunity for consecutive wins go by the way side in a 3-1 loss to visiting Dallas on Tuesday. David Perron scored a second period goal for the Blues and Jake Allen took the loss with three goals allowed on 17 shots.
Tyler Sequin led the Stars with a pair of markers with John Klingberg adding a goal. Alexander Radulov posted a pair of helpers for Dallas who received 26 saves from Ben Bishop.
