The Blackhawks look to even the series and head back to Tampa Bay with some momentum as the team's meet up at the United Center on Wednesday night.
The Tampa Bay Lightning withstood an onslaught in the first period of Monday night's contest against the Blackhawks as Ben Bishop made 18 saves on 19 shots and carried that momentum throughout the rest of the game as Tampa scored in the dying minutes and stole a big win in game three. The Bolts have been riding Bishop all playoffs long but it is this series where he has made the biggest difference just three games in as he is clearly dealing with an injury and was in visible discomfort throughout game three but he was spectacular and that type of effort is inspirational to the rest of the Tampa team and they will look to thrive off of it once again in game four. However, the Bolts know this is a must win type of game from the Hawks and with the squandered chances Chicago had in the first last game you can be sure they will come out firing in this one.
The Blackhawks spoiled an opportunity to extend their home ice winning streak as their first loss in Chicago of these playoffs came at a very inopportune time and now they have to rebound or else they will be on the brink of elimination. Chicago has been riding the tandem of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane on the same line and while it has worked wonders they may be forced to split up to attain more balance and head coach Joel Quenneville has hinted that separating his two all stars could be the way to go but with last change in their hands the Hawks could utilize the dangerous top line for one more game and then make a switch if need be back in Tampa. This series has all the makings of a six-seven game thriller and in order to do so the Hawks need to get a win here and I think they play much like they did in game three but this time convert on their scoring chances.
