The Lightning face a must win on the road against the Red Wings who have taken a surprising 3-2 series lead heading back to the Joe.
The Tampa Bay Lightning came into the 2015 NHL Playoffs as one of the favourites to win the Eastern Conference and now they are a loss away from falling well short of their target goal and heading out in the first round to the playoff savvy Detroit Red Wings. The Bolts were the league's best offensive team during the regular season but over the last three games they have struggled mightly to score goals and if not for a ridiculous effort from Tyler Johnson in game four this series could already have come to an end. Steven Stamkos has been a ghost in this series and if the Lightning are going to have any shot at getting back in this series they have to find a way to win another road game in Detroit which is never an easy thing to do.
The Red Wings have turned up the intensity over the last week and for the first time perahps all season long they look like a playoff contender and getting goaltender Petr Mrazek hot at the right time could be the key to success for the Wings. However, Mrazek's streakiness is his downfall and was the main factor against the Wings heading into this series and with Tampa's backs against the wall and an underachieving superstar bearing the weight of an entire organization tonight it'll be interesting to see how he responds. While the Joe is a tough place to win and the Wings do have the momentum I am giving another chance to Tampa who can't play any worse than they did in game five and I think they force a deciding game seven.
