The Canadiens look to even the series and head back to Tampa Bay with at least one victory after the Bolts stole game one in double overtime on Friday.
The Tampa Bay Lightning in controversial fashion stole game one of their Eastern Conference semi-final series against the Montreal Canadiens and continued their winning ways against their division foes as they are now a perfect 6-0 against them this season. Tampa didn't have the greatest game offensively but any team battling against Carey Price is bound to have difficulty scoring even though they are the league's best offense but Tampa dealt the Habs a taste of their own medicine with a very sound defensive game and Ben Bishop was great as he is going to have to be if the Bolts are to win this series. Tampa has a great shot at leaving the Bell Centre with a 2-0 lead and heading home would put them in a very nice position to end this series with ease.
The Canadiens had ample opportunity to win the series opener as they were all over the Lightning in the overtime periods but they couldn't find a way through Bishop and now they face a tough task in responding after a heartbreaking loss. It is too early to say that the mental edge in favour of Tampa will determine the series outcome but as mentioned the Bolts have yet to lose to Montreal this season and you know that plays a factor even in the playoffs. Price has carried this team and I think it is time his players give him a reciprocated result but to be honest Montreal dominated game one and still couldn't find a way to win. If Tampa is even a hair better than they were Friday they have a real shot at winning again tonight and at this price I am going to take it.
