The Bruins look to build on their big win against the Panthers as they look for the Florida sweep against the Lightning.
The Boston Bruins can grab their second divisional victory in as many nights after coming off a huge win against the Florida Panthers as they head into Tampa Bay to take on a Lightning side coming off a loss against the Philadelphia Flyers. The B’s continue their spectacular road performance this season as they nabbed their 22nd win in their 32nd match away from home and if they get a win tonight they will move into first place in the log jammed Atlantic division. Boston is a very sneaky team and have certainly exceeded expectations this season but as a staple in the Eastern Conference playoffs it would surprise very few to not only see them make it but be competitive once they are there as they have the horses and experience that very few teams have. Tuukka Rask is expected to get the call here as he will be countered by Ben Bishop in the Tampa crease.
The Bolts are coming off a very tough loss in Philadelphia last night but return home tonight to face off against a Bruins side that sits just a single point behind them in the league standings. Tampa Bay does have a game in hand on the Bruins and can make up a four point swing with a victory tonight but with Boston’s tenacity on the road they are by far from a lock, especially with the way they played in Philadelphia last night. Tampa does have Ben Bishop going in the crease and he has had a very strong season but will need a big game if the Bolts are going to take down a feisty Bruins side. In the end, I think the Bolts respond and send the Bruins to a loss in what should be a very competitive contest.
