The Tampa Bay Lightning welcome the Florida Panthers to town for a Tuesday NHL tilt.
The Florida Panthers don’t have much of a playoff history but the team is trying to change that. Florida has ripped off six straight victories capped off by a 4-1 win at Philadelphia on Sunday where the Flyers received a third period goal from Travis Konecny.
Evgenii Dadonov topped the surging Panthers offense with a pair of goals with Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau also lighting the lamp. Barkov also had an assist and Roberto Luongo made 39 saves in the win while Petr Mrazek allowed four goals on 26 shots.
The Tampa Bay Lightning are once again racking up the points as the team moves towards wrapping up the Atlantic. Tampa Bay has won six of seven after downing Philadelphia 7-6 in a SO. The Flyers received goals from Nolan Patrick, Jakub Voracek, Robert Hagg, Jori Lehtera, Ivan Provorov and Claude Giroux with Petr Mrazek allowing six goals on 35 shots.
The explosive Lightning saw Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman each score twice with Dan Girardi and JT Miller also lighting the lamp while Stamkos and Brayden Point scored in the SO. Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov logged three assists each and Andrei Vasilevskiy gave Tampa Bay 37 saves.
Panthers are 5-0 in their last 5 games following a win and Panthers are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and under is 4-0 in Panthers last 4 Tuesday games. Over is 11-2-1 in Lightning last 14 vs. Eastern Conference and Lightning are 5-1 in their last 6 vs. Eastern Conference and Lightning are 5-1 in their last 6 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game. Home team is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings and Panthers are 2-8 in the last 10 meetings in Tampa Bay and over is 13-4 in the last 17 meetings in Tampa Bay.
These teams know how to put the puck behind a goaltender so I’m looking for plenty of scoring…
