Tampa Bay -400 / Ottawa +350 / over-under: 6
The Tampa Bay Lightning host the Ottawa Senators in Saturday NHL action.
The. Ottawa Senators are in the midst of a six game six game slide after a 4-2 loss to visiting Edmonton on Thursday. The Senators received a first period goal from Chris Tierney with Mark Borowiecki lighting the lamp in the third. Craig Anderson absorbed the loss for Ottawa with three goals allowed on 25 shots.
Connor McDavid, Sam Gagner, Colby Cave and Zack Kassian supplied goals for the Oilers. Josh Currie gave Edmonton a pair of helpers and Mikko Koskinen picked up the win with 35 saves.
The red hot Tampa Bay Lightning were cooled off for a night in a 4-1 defeat at Boston on Thursday that ended a ten game winning streak. Anthony Cirelli scored a third period goal for the Lightning off an Ondrej Palat assist and Andrei Vasilevskiy gave up four goals on 41 shots to get the loss.
The Bruins scoring came off the sticks of Jake DeBrusk, Noel Acciari, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. Torey Krug and Danton Heinan each posted two assists for Boston to make the 20 saves of Tuukka Rask a winner.
Senators are 16-51 in their last 67 road games and Senators are 0-4 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and Senators are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. Atlantic.
Lightning are 42-11 in their last 53 vs. Eastern Conference and Lightning are 41-11 in their last 52 games as a favorite and Lightning are 41-12 in their last 53 overall.
Favorite is 42-17 in the last 59 meetings and over is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings in Tampa Bay and over is 6-0 in the last 6 meetings.
Tampa Bay had blown a few leads heading to Boston and were flat but return home as a massive favorite. I’d take a shot at the over and avoid the juice and not have to worry if the Senators decide to rise up and win which does happen occasionally… `
