The Pittsburgh Penguins look to continue their recent success against the Tampa Bay Lightning when the two sides meet up in Florida on Saturday.

The Penguins look for their 8th win in 12 tries against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday but things won’t come easy for the Pens as they are taking one of the league’s best teams who is an astounding 20-5 on home this season. The Pens are in the midst of a mini slump as they are 2-5 in their last 7 games but Sidney Crosby and company will be ready for their show down with Tampa Bay and the last time these two teams faced off in Pittsburgh it was the Pens who looked like the Cup contender and Tampa the also ran. Pittsburgh will look to channel that success in this one as they are 9-4 in their last 13 games against the Eastern Conference but are a modest 7-17 in their last 24 games as an underdog. Matt Murray is expected to get the start as he will face off against Andrei Vasilevskiy.

The Lightning surely haven’t forgotten the ways things went down with the Penguins the last time they faced off and they will be out for revenge in what was a drubbing by Pittsburgh on home ice. Tampa Bay is the clear cut favorite to win the Eastern Conference and are among a handful of teams worthy of consideration to win the Stanley Cup this season and they have saved their best for the bright lights as they are 8-1 in their last 9 Saturday games and are an impressive 44-11 in their last 55 games as a home favorite of -151 to -200. Tampa Bay has the edge in goal here and match up well with a Penguins side that is still as star studded as ever but hasn’t had the season many expected from them.

The Pens have hit the Under in 4 of their last 5 games and are 7-3 in their last 10 games against the Lightning while Tampa is 40-12 in their last 52 against the East and have hit the Under in 5 straight games. The side here is much too chalky so the play should be on the total and with both teams playing better defensively of late look for this one to stay under the number.
