The Las Vegas Golden Knights look to snap their 4 game losing skid as they head into Tampa Bay to take on the league’s top team in the Lightning.

The Golden Knights have hit a rough patch since the all-star break and are looking for a statement win in Tampa Bay to put an end to their losing skid as they have dropped 4 games in a row and have their work cut out for them against the Bolts. Vegas has been very consistent over their year and half of existence and have done a nice job neutralizing the strength of their opponent but against Tampa Bay it will be tough for them to do so as the Lightning don’t have a ton of holes and can beat you in a number of different ways. Vegas is 4-1 in their last 5 Tuesday games but are just 1-4 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and with a 20-5 mark on home ice the Lightning are certainly one of the toughest teams to beat on the road and are one of the Cup favorites.

The Lightning meanwhile continue to be one of the league’s best teams and have won 6 of their last 7 games against the Pacific division heading into their Tuesday night show down against the Golden Knights. Tampa Bay is loaded in the offensive zone with the likes of Steven Stamkos, Tyler Johnson, and Nikita Kucherov at their disposal but they are also very sound in the defensive zone with Victor Hedman and Ryan McDonagh manning the blue line and with Andrei Vasilevskiy in goal they are very tough to beat on any given night. Tampa has hit the Under in their last 4 games following a win and in 6 of their last 7 overall while Vegas has come Under in 9 of their last 13 Tuesday games.

The Golden Knights are 1-5 in their last 6 on the road against a good home ice team and have hit the Under in 7 of their last 12 overall while the Lightning are 39-13 in their last 52 overall and are 53-11 in their last 64 when their opponent scores 2 or fewer in their previous game. This line has the extra half goal and we would be wise to take it as both teams have great goaltending and will be fighting hard not to make the first mistake. Take the under here.
