Brett Connolly led the Capitals with a pair of tallies with Lars Eller, Tom Wilson and Evgeny Kuznetsov finding the back of the net. Michael Kempny and Carl Hagelin assisted twice for Washington and Braden Holtby recorded 22 stops.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have won three in a row after outscoring Detroit 5-4 on the road Thursday. Madison Bowey, Darren Helm, Justin Abdelkader and Michael Rasmussen lit the lamp for Detroit and Jimmy Howard allowed five goals on 34 shots.

I wouldn’t pay the juice with Washington playing well but something on the over instead…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
