The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Chicago Blackhawks in Wednesday NHL action.

The Chicago Blackhawks routed visiting Arizona 7-1 on Monday night for their third straight win. Richard Panik gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead in the first before the defense collapsed. Christian Dvorak posted an assist and Darcy Kuemper gave up four goals on 16 shots before Calvin Pickard came in to stop 15-18 shots in relief for Arizona.

Brendan Perlini led the Blackhawks with a hat trick with Brandon Saad, Chris Kunitz, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews reaching the scoring column. Dominik Kahun and Alex DeBrincat posted a pair of helpers for Chicago and Corey Crawford stopped 24 shots to get the win. 

The Toronto Maple Leafs were denied back to back wins in a 6-2 home loss to Tampa Bay on Monday. Auston Matthews scored in the second and Connor Brown tallied in the third for Toronto. Frederik Andersen allowed four goals on 19 shots before Garret Sparks stopped 21-23 shots in relief for Toronto.

The explosive Lightning offense received two goals from Tyler Johnson and Cedric Paquette with Anthony Cirelli and Ondrej Palat lighting the lamp. Yanni Gourde, Ryan McDonagh and Jan Rutta posted two assists each for Tampa Bay and Andrei Vasilevskiy picked up the win with 26 stops.
