Monday NHL action pits the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Colorado Avalanche.

Montreal did all their scoring in the third period with Brett Kulak, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jordie Benn lighting the lamp. Phillip Danault gave the Canadiens two helpers and Carey Price picked up the win with a 28 save performance.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been in a bit of a funk with losses in four of six following a 3-2 defeat to visiting Boston on Saturday. Andreas Johnsson and Mitch Marner scored second period goals for Toronto. The Bruins received scoring off the sticks of David Krejci, Sean Kuraly and David Pastrnak. Kuraly also assisted twice for the Bruins while Tuukka Rask picked up the win with 30 stops.
Avalanche are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. a team with a winning record and Avalanche are 0-5 in their last 5 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game and Avalanche are 3-13 in their last 16 overall. Under is 4-0 in Maple Leafs last 4 overall and under is 4-1-1 in Maple Leafs last 6 Monday games and under is 4-1 in Maple Leafs last 5 home games. Under is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings in Toronto and over is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings and road team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
Toronto is one of the better teams in the NHL and should win with Colorado slumping. Having said that I go small on the Maple Leafs if at all given their disappearing at times…
