The Maple Leafs are hoping third time's a charm on Saturday night as they welcome the Senators to town in the first installment of the Battle of Ontario.
The Ottawa Senators got off on the right foot to start the season as they went in to Buffalo and left with two points and a victory and now can follow that up with another divisional win against their arch rivals from Toronto. The Sens are expected to do some damage in the Atlantic division this season after their magical run to the playoffs a year ago and with the balance of youth and experience fueling this team it would come as a surprise to very few to see Ottawa in the Atlantic division bracket come playoff time. However, the Battle of Ontario is always a tough game to play in whether at home or on the road and while the talent disparity this season may be the biggest we have seen in some time you can bet the Sens are expecting a solid team effort from their counterparts on Saturday night.
The Leafs have dropped both games of the season so far to the Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings and look to avoid a third straight divisional loss on Saturday when they host Ottawa at the ACC. Toronto didn't look good at all last night against the Red Wings but it was a clear look ahead spot for the Buds having the Sens on the docket for tonight and I do think we see a better team effort and a nice performance from James Reimer who will be making his season debut. The goaltending controversy continues to build in Toronto and I think Reimer shows up here in a game that I forecast staying under the number with plenty of physicality.
