The Flames look to book their ticket to the second round as they return home for game six while the Canucks look to stave off elimination for the second consecutive game.
The Vancouver Canucks look for their first win of the series in Calgary in another must win contest for them but they know this one will be much tougher to get as it comes in enemy territory in one of the loudest buildings in the league. The Canucks haven't had the greatest season or the best series but their big guys stepped up when called upon in game five and now they look to repeat the feat in what could be the final game in a Canucks uniform for a large portion of their core guys. Ryan Miller stepped up in game five and will be leaned on once again in this spot and while he hasn't had a ton of success in the playoffs he is still an elite goaltender and give them the edge in the crease over Jonas Hiller.
The Flames have struggled to close out series' of late and this one is no different and with the youth of this team being what it is it may be even tougher to finish off a team that has a ton of playoff experience and is coming off a big victory. Calgary to me has more momentum this season than their counterparts but overall the Canucks had the better season statistically and have a ton more playoff experience which could come into play in this one tonight much like it did in game five. While this may be in the minority I think Vancouver has what it takes to send this series back to Rogers Arena for game seven and I think Miller makes the difference here once again.
