The Arizona Coyotes visit the Vancouver Canucks in a Thursday NHL tilt.
The Arizona Coyotes are looking for consecutive victories after a 5-0 win against the visiting NY Rangers ended a three game skid. The Rangers never got their offense untracked and Henrik Lundqvist struggled between the pipes with five goals allowed on 32 shots before Alexandar Georgiev stopped eight shots in relief.
Conor Garland led Arizona with a pair of markers with Mario Kempe, Clayton Keller and Alex Galchenyuk also finding the scoring column. Galchenyuk added a pair of helpers and Darcy Kuemper recorded 23 saves to get the win for the Coyotes.
The Vancouver Canucks look for some momentum after a 5-0 defeat at Toronto on Saturday has the team staring at losses in three of four. The Canucks never got their offense going and Jacob Markstrom struggled in the net with five goals scoring on 34 shots.
The balanced Maple Leafs received goals from John Tavares, Trevor Moore, Auston Matthews, Andreas Johnsson and Igor Ozhiganov. Matthews completed a three point night with two helpers with Michael Hutchinson getting the win for Toronto with 28 stops.
