The Arizona Coyotes look to continue their winning ways on the Canadian west coast as they face off against the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.

The Coyotes pulled out a shootout victory against the Edmonton on Tuesday and will look to carry that momentum into a Thursday night show down with the Vancouver Canucks who have had their way with Arizona over the years on home ice. Arizona sits a single game under the .500 mark on the season but they are just 2 points back of the Colorado Avalanche for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and could very well pull off the unthinkable and get into the postseason without their starting goaltender. Arizona is tied with the Canucks with 59 points but are ahead of them in the standings thanks to one additional victory and with a 4-1 record in their last 5 meetings with the Canucks it looks like there is a ton of value on the road team in this spot.

The Canucks meanwhile started the season with a bang and looked like a group capable of sneaking into the playoffs in the Western Conference but right now they are fighting tooth and nail just to stay above the .500 mark. The Canucks have a bright future with some of the league’s top young stars donning their colours with Elias Pettersen, Brock Boeser, and Bo Horvat leading the way but they could very well speed up the rebuild and get into the postseason earlier than expected. Vancouver is 23-10-1 in their last 34 meetings against the Coyotes at home but they are just 2-6 in their last 8 overall and have struggled against Arizona of late.

The Coyotes are 2-5 in their last 7 games following a win and are 14-39 in their last 53 Thursday games while the Canucks are 1-4 in their last 5 games as a favorite and have hit the Under in 18 of their last 27 meetings with the Coyotes. This one figures to be a tight, low scoring affair as it has a ton of implication in the standings and with trends pointing in favor of that we will back the under.
