The Boston Bruins visit the Vancouver Canucks for a late Saturday NHL matchup.
The Boston Bruins have struggled to score during their current road trip as the team dropped consecutive outings following a 3-2 OT loss at Edmonton on Thursday. David Krejci and David Pastrnak scored for Boston with Jaroslav Halak fell to 2-0-1 with 19 saves.
Edmonton received a second period tally from Kailer Yamamoto with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scoring with the man advantage. Leon Draisaitl scored the winner just 37 seconds in to the extra session while Cam Talbot picked up the win for the Oilers with a 27 save effort.
The Vancouver Canucks have been playing well with three consecutive victories before the good times ended in a 4-1 loss at Winnipeg on Wednesday. Bo Horvat scored the Vancouver goal in the second with Derrick Pouliot while Anders Nilsson gave up all four goals on 32 shots.
Patrk Laine and Bryan Little scored on the power play for the Jets with Andrew Copp and Dustin Byfugllien also lighting the lamp. Byfuglien and Nikolaj Ehlers added a pair of assists while Connor Hellebuyck stopped 26 shots for the Jets.
Over is 5-0-1 in Bruins last 6 Saturday games and Bruins are 0-5 in their last 5 in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation and Bruins are 1-5 in their last 6 road games. Under is 4-0 in Canucks last 4 overall and under is 4-0 in Canucks last 4 games playing on 1 days rest and Canucks are 4-0 in their last 4 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game. Over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings and over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Vancouver.
The Bruins need to find some consistency at the offensive end of the floor and I think they find some scoring here…
