The Bruins look to shake off back to back overtime losses as they continue their Western Canada swing in Vancouver on Saturday.
The Bruins have earned two points in as many games during their trip to the Canadian west coast but perhaps deserved more in both as they fell in a shootout to the Oilers and followed that up with an overtime loss to Calgary. The B's have a chance to right the ship and earn the victory out right against the Canucks on Saturday night in what should be an exciting contest between two teams who have developed a bit of a hate for one another stemming back from their Stanley Cup meeting a few years back. Tuukka Rask is expected to get the start in goal as he will go up against Ryan Miller.
The Canucks head into action on Saturday looking to snap out of a 2-5-3 funk that has dropped them into fourth place in the Pacific division and while they are very much in the mix still they need to get back to their early season form and quick. The Canucks weren't expected to do a whole lot this season but thanks to a slow start from the rest of the division and the quick emergence of some of the teams young guns they are in a nice spot and could very well get back to the playoffs this season. As for tonight though this spot clearly favours the Bruins who have been playing the better hockey of the two teams and with their impressive road record against Vancouver’s lackluster home mark I like the trends to continue.
