CAR -130 O/U 6
The Carolina Hurricanes take on the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The Carolina Hurricanes are on a three-game losing streak, defeating the San Jose Sharks 3-2 in a shootout victory, and destroying both the Minnesota Wild and the Edmonton Oilers. The Hurricanes have won four of their last five games.
The Hurricanes are 18-11-1 on the season with 39 points. Carolina are a very good team, and in particular on the defensive end of the ice, the Hurricanes are only allowing 2.74 goals per game. However, at the moment, the Hurricanes are putting up a ton of goals in their wins, and are on pace to become a very balanced team.
The Vancouver Canucks are coming off of a 4-1 loss to the Maple Leafs, snapping a two-game win streak that saw them put up 11 goals in the two games Vancouver have won three of their last five have been a bit up and down this season.
The Canucks are 15-12-4 on the season and are in fifth place in the Pacific Division. The Canucks have been able to get teams to make mistakes, giving the Canucks power plays, as the Canucks have had 31 power plays this season. They also have Elias Pettersson who has 31 points on the season and is certainly one of the guys that they rely on the most out of their stars.
Carolina is 14-17 ATS this season
Under is 5-1 in Hurricanes last 6 road games.
Vancouver is 17-14 ATS this season
Over is 4-0 in Canucks last 4 Thursday games.
The Hurricanes are playing much better hockey at the moment, as they are finding a groove on offense and they already have a terrific defense and probably the best goaltender in all of the NHL. If Carolina can tap more into this and figure out how to make this sustainable, there going to be a competing team for the rest of the season I have to go with the Carolina here though I think Vancouver is still a very good team and this game will likely be close. Final Score prediction Carolina Hurricane win, but our best play is under 5-4.
