The Blackhawks look to shake off a loss in Calgary last night as they head into Vancouver looking to leave Western Canada with a winning record.
The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off an overtime loss in Calgary last night but can't fret for too long as they continue their Pacific division road swing in Vancouver on Saturday night. The Hawks and Canucks have become very familiar with each other over the last handful of years and while some of the key players from their hostile playoff match ups have moved on the energy still remains and we should be in for a very exciting contest. The Hawks are 3-5-1 on the road this season and head into Vancouver where the Canucks are a measly 2-3-3 through their first eight games at Rogers Arena. Corey Crawford will get the call as he will go up against Ryan Miller.
The Canucks head into action on Saturday looking to shake off a loss and avoid their seventh defeat in their last 10 games as their recent stretch of futility has them sitting in fourth place in the Pacific. Vancouver was expected to regress a bit this year as they are in the process of starting an overhaul and youth movement but it has been their youngsters that have been their driving force so far and with Miller between the pipes you have a chance to win every night of the week. Vancouver hasn't looked great of late but I see no reason why they should be a home underdog and at this price I think they are well worth a look on the money line here against a Hawks team coming off a game last night.
