Sunday NHL action pits the Florida Panthers at the Vancouver Canucks.

The Florida Panthers have been struggling with five straight losses after a 4-3 defeat at Calgary on Friday. Mike Hoffman, Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonov lit the lamp for the Panthers with Roberto Luongo allowing three goals on 23 shots to get the loss.

Michael Frolik, Mark Giordano, Sean Monahan and Matthew Tkachuk supplied markers for Calgary. Frolik also had an assist and David Rittich recorded 24 stops to pick up the win for the Flames.

The Vancouver Canucks have dropped three in a row following a 4-3 OT defeat to Arizona on Thursday. Sven Baertschi paced Vancouver with a pair of markers with Adam Gaudette also lighting the lamp while Jacob Markstrom allowed four goals on 22 shots to get the loss.

Richard Panik, Nick Cousins and Conor Garland scored in regulation for Arizona. Panik netted the OT winner and Jakob Chychrun added two helpers to lift the Coyotes and make a winner of Darcy Kuemper and his 33 stops.

Panthers are 0-5 in their last 5 overall and Panthers are 4-0 in their last 4 Sunday games and Panthers are 0-4 in their last 4 road games. Canucks are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. Atlantic and Canucks are 5-1 in their last 6 Sunday games and Canucks are 1-4 in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference. Under is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings in Vancouver and home team is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.

There isn’t much to go on here and I’m looking elsewhere but let’s go with the Canucks…

Pick:
Vancouver -115

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
