The Nashville Predators have followed a two game skid with back to back wins following a 2-1 victory against visiting Buffalo on Monday. Sam Reinhart scored unassisted in the second period for the Sabres with Carter Hutton absorbing the loss with both goals allowed on 25 shots.
Nashville saw Ryan Ellis light the lamp on a first period power play with Kevin Fiala scoring the winner at 16:34 of the third. Pekka Rinne picked up the win for the Predators with 21 saves to improve to 12-4-1.
The Vancouver Canucks have been fading for several weeks and have dropped four in a row after a 3-2 loss to visiting Minnesota on Tuesday. The Canucks took a 1-0 lead on a first period tally from Josh Leivo off of assists from Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser while Anders Nilsson took the loss with three goals scoring on 28 shots.
Zach Parise, Ryan Suter and Jason Zucker provided the scoring for Minnesota. Mikael Granlund posted a pair of assists for the Wild who received 29 saves from Devan Dubnyk that upped his record to 10-8-2.
