The Canucks look to repeat last night's special effort against the defending champs as they welcome back Corey Schneider and the Devils to Rogers Arena.
The New Jersey Devils head into Vancouver on Sunday looking to rebound after a bad loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night and they will go back with their starter and team MVP in Schneider in the process after he gave way to Keith Kinkaid against Edmonton. The Devils are one of the league's bigger surprises this season as they have a 10-8-1 record and are in the mix for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and if they can get a statement victory on Sunday it would give them a huge confidence booster moving forward. The Devils are 5-4 on the road this season while the Canucks are 3-3-3 at home.
Vancouver is coming off their biggest win of the year as they doubled up on the defending champions last night to the tune of a 6-3 final and they will look to replicate that effort with a follow up here against the Devils. The Canucks are right back in the fold in the Pacific division after preseason expectations placed them near the bottom of the Western Conference and a win tonight would put them to within a point of top spot. Vancouver is riding high after last night's win but they face a tough task here as Schneider is a great goaltender and will be looking to defeat his old team in front of the Canucks fans and I think he gets it. Great price with New Jersey as they get the win.
