The Rangers look for back to back wins on Saturday night as they head into Vancouver to take on the Canucks in another return for former Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault.
The New York Rangers will look to make up some ground in the Metropolitan division with a win against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday in what should be a grudge match between two teams who have become very familiar with each other over the last couple of years. The Rangers are coming off one of their best seasons in team history as they were league runners up and Eastern Conference champions under Vigneault's first year with the team and are doing their best to make sure they at least match that feat from last year though they know it'll be a tough road bacl. The Rangers have been without some of their better players to start the year but as they continue to get healthy I think we will see them climb the ranks in the Eastern Conference and a win against the Canucks here would go a long way in doing so. Henrik Lundqvist will start in goal as he will go up against Ryan Miller.
Vancouver has really turned things around from last year's disastrous season and while the teams flipped coaches in the offseason two years ago John Tortorella was let go after one year while Vigneault as mentioned led his team to a Conference title. Vancouver still has a ton of talent though and will look to keep pace in the Pacific division with a victory here and they will continue to ride Ryan Miller who is finally getting an opportunity to win hockey games and be a stable number one guy again after falling out of favour in St. Louis and playing behind some dreadful teams in Buffalo. This should be a great game though I am a little surprised at the line as I expected Vancouver to be favoured a little more than they are but that plays right into our hands. I like the Canucks at home and we get them at a great price.
