The Flyers look to end their two game slide as they head into Vancouver on Monday night looking to send the Canucks to their fifth loss on home ice.
The Philadelphia Flyers head into Vancouver on Monday night looking to improve on their 4-4-2 record and climb up the Metro division standings but face off against a Canucks team coming off a victory and looking to improve their play on home ice. The Flyers are an interesting bunch as they have one of the best lines in hockey and a relatively decent group around it but the holes on their roster seem to outweight their strengths and as such I think they will be hard pressed to sneak through in the Metro division playoff race and will end up becoming sellers at the trade deadline. As for now they will look to get a nice effort on the road against a solid Canucks team.
Vancouver was supposed to be a team entering a rebuild mode and while that still may hold up as being true they are getting a ton of production out of their youngsters and may end up keeping them around for the long run this season instead of letting them groom back in junior. The Canucks though haven't been able to get it together at home this season as they have lost four of five games at Rogers Arena and need to improve on that mark if they're going to stay competitive in the Western Conference. While it seems like the Flyers may be in a good spot here to get a victory I think the Canucks will be a little too strong tonight and that the difference will be Ryan Miller in the crease in a game Vancouver should win easily.
