The Penguins look to continue rolling as they take a four game winning streak into Vancouver to battle the Canucks at Rogers Arena.
The Pittsburgh Penguins got off to an underwhelming start to the season and some people were ready to press the panic button, but after a four game winning streak and a 7-4 record through their first 11 contests they are sitting pretty and back in the mix in the Metro division. Pittsburgh however does need to get their offense rolling as they are third to worst in the entire NHL with only 24 goals scored and when you consider the likes of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Phil Kessel are all on the roster it is astonishing to think that they are producing so little on the score board. However, a rejuvenated blue line and a goaltender in Marc-Andre Fleury who is having a great start has alleviated some of those concerns and has the Penguins in a winning frame of mind.
The Canucks meanwhile are coming off a much needed win on home ice on Monday as they took down the Flyers by a 4-1 final but they too need to turn a corner and start playing some consistent hockey. The one good thing about the Canucks at the moment is that despite losing six times this season they have taken four points in those contests by virtue of an overtime/shootout loss and when you can earn points in a losing effort it goes a long way to accumulating much needed numbers at season's end. Vancouver hasn't been great at home and while they got a win against one Pennsylvania side I don't see them matching it here as the Penguins come out swinging and land a couple of big punches.
