The Arizona Coyotes and Vegas Golden Knights meet Wednesday in NHL action at the T-Mobile Arena.
The Arizona Coyotes look for a spark of consistency here after splitting their last 12 games. The Arizona Coyotes are averaging 2.5 goals per game and are scoring on 17.7 percent of their power play opportunities. Clayton Keller leads Arizona with 23 goals, Derek Stepan has 40 assists and Oliver Ekman-Larsson has 186 shots on goal. Scott Wedgewood has given up 63 goals on 587 shots faced and Antti Raanta has allowed 92 goals on 1,256 shots. The Arizona Coyotes have allowed three or less gals in 10 of their last 14 games.
The Vegas Golden Knights also need a victory here after splitting their last eight games. William Karlsson leads Vegas with 40 goals, David Perron has 50 assists and Jonathan Marchessault has 251 shots on goal. The Vegas Golden Knights have allowed two or less goals in each of their last five games.
The Coyotes are 25-71 in their last 96 road games, 3-9 in their last 12 Wednesday games and 10-4 in their last 14 games playing on 1 days rest. The Golden Knights are 26-10 in their last 36 home games, 24-9 in their last 33 games playing on 1 days rest and 16-5 in their last 21 vs. Pacific. The Coyotes are 0-4 in the last 4 meetings.
The Vegas Golden Knights have made us a ton of money all season long and aren't a team I bet against often, as I usually blindly back them, especially on their home ice. However, the Arizona Coyotes are a young club that's been playing very well over the last month and has been winning as big underdogs. In fact, we hit with the Coyotes as +230 underdogs against the Lightning a few days ago. I'll get greedy and take the Coyotes yet again with the monster plus money. There's just no value in that much juice with Vegas.
