The Line: Boston Bruins +106 / Vegas Golden Knights -117 -- Over/Under: 5.5
The Boston Bruins and Vegas Golden Knights meet Wednesday in NHL action at the T-Mobile Arena.
The Boston Bruins look for another victory to build on their six-game winning streak. The Boston Bruins are averaging three goals per game and are scoring on 26.9 percent of their power play opportunities. David Pastrnak leads Boston with 31 goals, Brad Marchand has 47 assists and David Krejci has 97 shots on goal. Defensively, the Boston Bruins are allowing 2.6 goals per game and are killing 80.3 percent of their opponents power plays. Tuukka Rask has given up 77 goals on 943 shots faced and Jaroslav Halak has allowed 68 goals on 887 shots. The Boston Bruins have allowed three or less goals in seven of their last 10 games.
The Vegas Golden Knights could use a victory here after losing eight of their last 11 games. The Vegas Golden Knights are averaging 2.9 goals per game and are scoring on 18 percent of their power play opportunities. Jonathan Marchessault leads Vegas with 19 goals, Alex Tuch has 26 assists and Shea Theodore has 145 shots on goal. Defensively, the Vegas Golden Knights are allowing 2.8 goals per game and are killing 82.9 percent of their opponents power plays. Marc-Andre Fleury has given up 132 goals on 1,435 shots faced and Malcolm Subban has allowed 26 goals on 296 shots. The Vegas Golden Knights have allowed three or less goals in six of their last 10 games.
The Bruins are 4-1 in their last 5 road games, 4-0 in their last 4 games as an underdog and 6-0 in their last 6 overall. The Golden Knights are 2-5 in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest, 2-6 in their last 8 games as a favorite and 1-4 in their last 5 overall. The over is 5-2 in Bruins last 7 overall. The over is 5-1 in Golden Knights last 6 overall. The over is 4-0 in Golden Knights last 4 home games. The under is 17-8-1 in Bruins last 26 road games.
I usually don't bet against the Vegas Golden Knights at home, but the losses are piling up again and eventually you just have to admit that this isn't the same team from a year ago. The Boston Bruins are riding a six-game winning streak and have found their groove offensively to the point they've scored a combined 19 goals in their last four games. I'm not sure how you can turn down the plus money with the Bruins based on the way they've played these last two weeks and the fact the Golden Knights can't break out of this funk.
