The Nashville Predators visit the Vegas Golden Knights in Wednesday NHL action.

The Nashville Predators avoided a third straight loss with a 4-1 victory at Colorado on Monday. Alexander Kerfoot scored the only Avalanche goal in the second period and Semyon Varlamov absorbed the loss with three goals allowed on 26 shots.

The Predators received scoring from Nick Bonino, Viktor Arvidsson, Roman Josi and Ryan Ellis. Calle Jarnkrok logged a pair of assists and Pekka Rinne picked up the win for Nashville with 35 stops.

The Vegas Golden Knights have dropped two of three following a 4-2 loss to visiting Minnesota on Monday. Alex Tuch and Max Pacioretty supplied markers for Vegas. Colin Miller added a pair of helpers for the Golden Knights and Marc-Andre Fleury got the loss with three goals given up on 21 shots.

Minnesota saw scoring off the sticks of Marcus Foligno, Eric Staal, Charlie Coyle and Mikko Koivu. Devan Dubnyk recorded 30 stops for the Wild to improve to 19-16-3.

Predators are 4-0 in their last 4 Wednesday games and over is 3-0-1 in Predators last 4 vs. a team with a winning record and over is 5-1 in Predators last 6 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Under is 4-0 in Golden Knights last 4 Wednesday games and under is 5-1-1 in Golden Knights last 7 when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game and under is 4-1-1 in Golden Knights last 6 vs. Western Conference.

Both teams have identical records and Vegas has arguably performed better over the past several weeks but I’d avoid the juice and back Nashville or simply watch…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
