The Vegas Golden Knights welcome the Vancouver Canucks to town for an NHL matchup on Tuesday.
The 2017-18 season hasn’t been very good for the Vancouver Canucks who have been out of the playoff race for awhile. Vancouver has dropped nine of ten following a 5-3 loss to San Jose where Nikolay Goldobin, Bo Horvat and Alexander Edler scored and Jacob Markstrom allowed four goals on 29 shots.
The Sharks received a pair of tallies off the stick of Timo Meier with Kevin Labanc, Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl also finding the back of the net. Labanc and Hertl also logged assists to lift the Sharks and Aaron Dell’s 28 saves to the win.
The Vegas Golden Knights are looking to finish the regular season and carry plenty of momentum in to the playoffs. After getting outscored 12-5 in back to back defeats Vegas dominated Calgary 4-0 with Mike Smith allowing four goals on 31 shots for the Flames.
The Golden Knights did all their scoring in the second period with William Karlsson recording his second hat trick of the year while Colin Miller added a power play goal. Nate Schmidt gave Vegas two helpers and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 42 shots to earn his 48th career shutout.
Over is 5-0 in Canucks last 5 games playing on 2 days rest and under is 5-0 in Canucks last 5 road games and Canucks are 1-10 in their last 11 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game. Golden Knights are 9-1 in their last 10 when their opponent allows 5 goals or more in their previous game and Golden Knights are 6-1 in their last 7 vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and Golden Knights are 1-4 in their last 5 home games.
The juice is unbearable and not playable for the Golden Knights so it has to be knocked down or look elsewhere…
