The Washington Capitals look to stay red hot as they head into Sin City for a Cup rematch against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.
The Capitals come into Tuesday’s night show down in Vegas with a 7-1 record in their last 8 games overall and a staggering 22-8 mark in their last 30 road games dating back to last season. Washington is looking as dangerous as ever this season as they could very well repeat as Cup champions but they will be in tough as they have a target on their back from each and every opponent they face, but especially the Knights who are still salty about last season’s loss in the final. Washington Is 8-3 in their last 11 against Pacific division foes and have won their last 5 meetings with the Knights dating back to last season’s final and their rematch in Washington earlier this season.
The Golden Knights have had an up and down start to the season but they have done most of their damage at home as they are 7-3 in their first 10 games at T-Mobile Arena this season and will certainly be the hottest ticket in town on Tuesday with the Caps on deck. Vegas has picked their play up of late as they are 5-1 in their last 6 overall and are an impressive 19-4 in their last 23 home games against a team with a winning road record. However, that trend need not apply here as the Caps won 2 out of 3 in this building last year to hoist the Stanley Cup and would love the chance to send the Vegas fans home with another taste of defeat.
The Caps are 4-1 in their last 5 Tuesday games and 11-5 in their last 16 against the Western Conference while the Knights are 5-2 in their last 7 Tuesday games and 2-7 in their last 9 against the Metro. The Knights will be out for revenge but the value is on the Caps here and they are the play to get another road win.
