Friday NHL action brings us a bout between the Winnipeg Jets and the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Winnipeg Jets are staring at a three game skid following a 7-1 defeat at Colorado on Wednesday. Kyle Connor scored in the third period for the Jets and Connor Hellebuyck gave up seven goals on 46 shots to get the loss.
The balanced Colorado offense featured goals from Carl Soderberg, Mikko Rantanen, Nathan MacKinnon, Matt Calvert, Tyson Jost, Gabriel Landeskog and AJ Greer. Jost, Tyson Barrie and Gabriel Landeskog posted two assists each for Colorado who received 26 saves from Semyon Varlamov.
The Vegas Golden Knights need a change in momentum after a 3-2 SO loss to visiting Boston on Wednesday left the team with losses in five of six. Reilly Smith and Nate Schmidt provided the scoring for the Golden Knights who saw William Karlsson score in the shootout. Smith also had an assist for Vegas and Mark-Andre Fleury gave up two goals on 27 shots.
Jacob DeBrusk and Brad Marchand lit the lamp for the Bruins in regulation with DeBrusk and David Backes scoring in the shootout. Jaroslav Halak picked up the win for Boston with a 31 save performance.
