The slumping Nashville Predators have lost six in a row after a 4-3 defeat to the visiting NY Rangers on Saturday. Nashville saw Nick Bonino score a pair of power play goals with Kevin Fiala also lighting the lamp. Fiala also gave the Predators two helpers while Pekka Rinne gave up four goals on 23 shots.
New York received a pair of markers from Jesper Fast with Chris Kreider and Marc Staal also reaching the scoring column. Mika Zibanejad supplied the Rangers with four helpers and Kreider assisted twice to make a winner of the 36 saves from Henrik Lundqvist.
The surging Washington Capitals have won nine of ten after squeezing by Ottawa 3-2 on Saturday. Colin White and Mark Stone supplied the Senators with scoring with Brady Tkachuk assisting on each goal. Marcus Hogberg absorbed the loss with three goals allowed on 24 shots.
Tom Wilson and Tyler Lewington scored in the first for Washington with Madison Bowey lighting the lamp in the second. Wilson and Lewington also had assists to lift the Capitals and the 31 stops of Phoenix Copley to the win.
