The Philadelphia Flyers are looking to resume their hot play when the team begins second half play on Wednesday. Philadelphia headed in to the All Star break off of a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning where Travis Konecny scored their lone goal in the third period.

The Washington Capitals are hoping to kick off the second half of the season with a much needed hot streak. Washington picked up a 4-2 win at the Florida Panthers going in to the break that snapped a three game skid. The Panthers managed a pair of goals from Denis Malgin in the first and second with Harri Sateri making 42 stops.
The balanced attack of Washington featured four different players scoring with Nicklas Backstrom, Alex Ovechkin, John Carlson and Brett Connolly all lighting the lamp. Evgeny Kuzenetov added a pair of helpers and Braden Holtby recorded 32 saves to pick up the win for Washington.

These teams played right before the break and three goals were scored and I don’t expect much to change as I’m leaning under again but will look further in to this…
