The Arizona Coyotes visit the Bell MTS Centre to take the ice with the Winnipeg Jets in a Tuesday NHL tilt.

The Arizona Coyotes have been thrust in to the role of spoiler because the team has struggled at both ends of the ice for the majority of the season. Those struggles have played a part in a three game losing streak capped off by a 6-0 loss at the Los Angeles Kings where Scott Wedgewood was charged with six goals on 35 shots.

Los Angeles saw six different players score with Alex Iafallo, Trevor Lewis, Adrian Kempe, Jake Muzzin, Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown all lighting the lamp. Jake Muzzin gave the Kings a pair of helpers and Darcy Kuemper brushed aside 27 shots to get the shutout.

The Winnipeg Jets are still sitting atop the Central with wins in five of seven where both ends of the ice have contributed to the success. Winnipeg comes in off of a 3-0 victory versus the visiting Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. The Avalanche never found their offense with Semyon Varlamov allowing two goals on 31 shots.

The Jets saw scoring from Patrik Laine on a first period power play with Jack Roslovic lighting the lamp in the third before Nikolaj Ehlers found the empty net with 18 seconds remaining in the game. Blake Wheeler gave the Jets a pair of assists and Connor Hellebuyck stopped 25 shots in the win.

Under is 5-0 in Coyotes last 5 Tuesday games and under is 6-1 in Coyotes last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and under is 6-1 in Coyotes last 7 games playing on 2 days rest. Under is 5-0 in Jets last 5 home games and Jets are 25-5 in their last 30 home games and under is 9-2 in Jets last 11 vs. Western Conference. Coyotes are 0-8 in the last 8 meetings in Winnipeg and Coyotes are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings and home team is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings.

I have to back the Jets here but the juice has to be knocked down to make this game playable…

I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
