The Winnipeg Jets host the Colorado Avalanche in a Tuesday NHL tilt.
The Colorado Avalanche hope to build on Friday’s 6-1 win against the visiting NY Rangers which snapped a six game slide. Ryan Strome scored unassisted in the third period for New York with Alexandar Georgiev absorbing the loss with six goals allowed on 47 shots.
Mikko Rantanen topped the Colorado scoring spree with two goals while Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, Alexander Kerfoot and Ryan Graves also reached the scoring column. MacKinnon gave the Avalanche a pair of helpers to make the 24 saves of Philipp Grubauer a winner.
The Winnipeg Jets are trying to start a hot streak and might be on their way with wins in two of three after routing Dallas 5-1 on Sunday. Alexander Radulov scored a second period PP goal to give the Stars a 1-0 lead but Ben Bishop struggled with four goals allowed on 29 shots.
Adam Lowry, Tyler Myers, Kyle Connor, Josh Morrissey and Bryan Little all found the back of the net for Winnipeg. Connor Hellebuyck picked up the win for the jets with 26 saves to improve to 18-12-1.
