NHL hockey action comes to the MTS Centre when the Winnipeg Jets host the Dallas Stars Tuesday.
The Nashville Predators are another team that needs every point they can get their hands on with the playoffs approaching. The Predators looked completely lost as they faced a 3-0 deficit versus the visiting Dallas Stars on Sunday before somebody flipped the switch and Nashville reeled off five consecutive goals for a 5-3 victory and two precious points. The Dallas attack featured goals from Patrick Sharp, Jamie Benn and Devin Shore while Pekka Rinne took the loss. The Nashville attack saw Roman Josi score two times with Callie Jamkrok, Filip Forsberg and Mike Fisher also lighting the lamp to make a winner of Kari Lehtonen.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have picked up their play the past few weeks which the Winnipeg Jets certainly didn’t want to see when they are fighting for their postseason lives. Unfortunately for the Jets, the Lightning performed well at both ends of the ice in a 4-1 decision on Saturday. Winnipeg’s lone goal came off the stick of Jacob Trouba in the third with Connor Hellebuyck allowing three goals on 29 shots to take the loss. The balanced Tampa Bay offense received goals from Brayden Point, Brian Boyle, Ondrej Palat and Victor Hedman (empty net) to help Ben Bishop and his 32 stops a winning effort.

Winnipeg has done well here and goals have been scored so the over has hit often which I lean until I see who is between the pipes…
