The St Louis Blues look for a road win when they take the ice with the Winnipeg Jets at the MTS Centre.
The St Louis Blues will be looking to steady the ship when they pay the Winnipeg Jets a visit at the MTS Centre on Thursday night. The Blues are hoping to get back to their winning ways after a 5-2 rout at the hands of visiting Montreal on Tuesday has the club looking at losses in three of four. The Canadiens exploded for three second period goals in the second to take a 4-2 lead in to the third and the Blues never challenged. TJ Oshie and David Backes tallied for St Louis but Jake Allen struggled between the pipes with all five goals given up on just 23 shots. Brendan Gallagher and Alex Galchenyuk scored two goals each with Michael Bournival also lighting the lamp to make a winner of Carey Price and 27 stops. The Blues must now turn things around on the road with a five game trip ahead of them.
The Winnipeg Jets look to treat the fans at the MTS Centre to consecutive victories with the St Louis Blues in town Thursday. The Jets are coming off of a 4-2 win against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday where a balanced offense and solid defense ruled the roost. Four players scored for Winnipeg with Bryan Little, Dustin Byfuglien, Adam Lowry and Michael Frolik each finding the back of the net to make a winner of Michael Hutchinson who recorded 26 saves to help the team end a two game skid. The Stars are in danger of a full blown slump as they dropped number four in a row with Jason Demers and Erik Cole providing the offense although Dallas was a bit unfortunate with numerous shots glancing of the post. Jhonas Enroth absorbed the loss with three goals allowed on 24 shots.
The Blues are 0-4 in their last 4 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game while the over is 2-0-2 in Blues last 4 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game and is 4-0-1 in Blues last 5 following a home loss of 3 or more goals. For Winnipeg the over is 5-0 in Jets last 5 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game while the Jets are 4-0 in their last 4 home games and 4-1 in their last 5 vs. Western Conference. Head to Head the Blues are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Winnipeg while the over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings in Winnipeg. I tink the Blues want to regain their footing and kick off this road swing with a win...
