Tuesday NHL action brings a matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights.
The Vegas Golden Knights have been at the top of their game with wins in eight of nine after a 4-3 OT victory at Chicago on Saturday. Alex Debrincat scored twice and Patrick Kane also tallied for the Blackhawks. Erik Gustafsson gave Chicago two assists and Collin Delia gave up four goals on 23 shots.
The Golden Knights received regulation goals from Alex Tuch, Ryan Carpenter and Paul Stastny. Shea Theodore scored the overtime winner with Max Pacioretty posting a pair of helpers for Vegas and Marc-Andre Fleury recorded 29 saves to get the win.
The Winnipeg Jets sit atop the Central with wins in four of five after defeating visiting Anaheim 4-2 in OT on Sunday. The Ducks received scoring from Brian Gibbons, Rickard Rakell and Andrew Cogliano. Carter Rowney recorded three helpers and Daniel Sprong assisted twice while John Gibson gave up four goals on 34 shots to get the loss Anaheim.
Blake Wheeler, Patrik Laine and Ben Chairot scored in regulation for Winnipeg with Bryan Little netting the OT winner. Little also posted an assist and Connor Hellebuyck made 28 stops to get the win for the Jets.
