Nurnberg is welcoming Bayern in round 31 of German Bundesliga.
Nurnberg is one of the worst teams in Bundesliga with a record of only 3 wins, 9 draws and 18 losses so far this season. Nurnberg is holding 17th place in the standings and will most likely get relegated to Bundesliga 2 next season. In their last game against Bayer Leverkusen, Nurnberg was just awful with only 37% of ball possession, 1 shot on goal, 1 corner kick and only 76% of correct passes and has lost that game 2-0. Ishak and Behrens are Nurnberg’s top goal scorers with 4 goals, Zrelak and Enrico are both injured and will not be in the lineup for this game. Nurnberg is the team without head or tail and simply doesn’t have enough quality to compete in Bundesliga and being relegated is the best thing for Nurnberg at the moment. With only 24 scored goals, Nurnberg is one of the worst offensive teams in Bundesliga. Nurnberg has won only 1 Bundesliga match since September of 2018 and management has already announced that there will be some big changes in the team after the season ends.
Bayern is the soccer authority in Germany and is once again at the top of Bundesliga. Bayern hasn’t lost any of their last 7 games and has scored 25 goals during that period. In their last game against Werder, Bayern was dominant throughout the entire game with 69% of ball possession, 7 shots on goal, 14 corner kicks and 87% of correct passes and have won this game 1-0. With their main competitor for the title Borussia Dortmund losing their game this weekend, Bayern has a chance to get 4 points ahead and get one step closer to winning another title. Bayern has an excellent team with players like Ribery, Hummels, Boateng, Muller, Kimmich, Rodriguez and Lewandowski who is Bayern’s top goal scorer with 21 goals. Neuer and Fruchtl are injured while Robben and Ribery are listed as questionable. Coach Kovac is doing a great job in Bayern, and they have a chance of winning both Bundesliga and DFB Pokal which is the main cup competition in Germany. Bayern is playing really nice soccer with lots of short passes and attractive plays, and more importantly, Bayern is scoring lots of goals and is one of the best offensive teams in Europe.
Nurnberg hasn’t won any of their last 4 games against Bayern and has conceded 11 goals during that period. Bayern is not showing any signs of stopping in this race to the title and that is why I’m giving them the edge in this matchup.
