The opening game of the 2015 Copa America will see host nation Chile take on Ecuador at the National Stadium in Santiago. Chile are one of the favourites for the tournament and will be looking to Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez to lead them to victory here. Sanchez will be assisted by beaten Champions League finalist Arturo Vidal of Juventus and Real Madrid goalkeeper Claudio Brava. This is a very strong Chile team and the squad depth is something they havent had in a long time. Home advantage for the Chileans will also be pivotal as they look to win their first Copa America. There will be some pressure on the squad as well given that it is at home but they have a nice match up against Ecuador to open their tournament.
Ecuador are missing their star man as Antonion Valencia of Manchester United will miss the tournament because of ankle surgery he had following the conclusion of the Premier League season. West Ham's Enner Valencia will now be key for the Ecuadorians but he is also not 100% healthy and is nto playing through the center as the management go with Bolanos and Montero. Ecuador will be physically tough and will not just roll over here in what should be an entertaining game of ball.
Hard to think that Chile wont win this one. In actual fact I am going to do something I never do, normally I give some time to get to see the first round of matches before going heavy in any one game but I am taking Chile big here, I think this is the start of a really good campaign for Chile and I see them getting the win here comfortably.
