AC Milan is welcoming Empoli in round 25 of Italian Serie A,
AC Milan is playing in a great form at the moment and are fighting for a spot in Champions league next season. AC Milan's game style has improved a lot in last few weeks and with that their goal scoring efficiency is much higher. In their last game Atalanta, Milan had only 41% ball possesion but despite that have managed to score 3 goals from only 3 shots on goal thanks Milan's latest signing, Piatek who scored 2 goals and is one of the top goal scorers in Serie A. AC Milan is on a 6 game streak without a loss and are not showing any signs of stopping. Caldara and Bonnaventuara are injured while Suso is suspended and will not be playing. Milan is holding 4th place in standings and are only 4 points behind their biggest rival Inter. AC Milan’s home record of 7 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses is not bad but competition in Seria A is strong and if AC Milan wants to stay close to the top they will need to keep playing this good and keep winning.
Empoli is one of the worst teams in Serie A and are holding 17th place in the standings with only 21 points with away record of 0 wins, 4 draws and 7 losses. Caputo leads Empoli with 11 goals but except him Empoli doesn’t have quality to be higher in the standings. Empoli have won their last game against Sassuolo 3:0 at home with only 33% ball possession and 5 shots on goal. This win has kept Empoli outside of relegation zone and boosted the team’s confidence. Empoli doesn’t have good game style and are mainly focused on defense but it is hard to keep the ball out of the net without good defenders. On the other end of the pitch Empoli is doing good with 30 scored goals in 24 games.
AC Milan is playing great and Empoli is a complete disaster on the defensive end and haven’t won a game away as of yet, I think AC Milan gets this one done and continues their Champions league chase.
