Bournemouth takes on Chelsea in Wednesday Premier League Soccer action.
Bournemouth has finally snapped out of their 9 games long winless streak by beating West Ham 2-0 at home. The win over West Ham will boost Bournemouth’s confidence but I’m not sure one will be enough to continue with good results. Bournemouth is good at home, 6 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses with 21 scored goals. At the moment, Bournemouth is holding onto the 12th spot but only 3 points away from Everton on 8th spot. Callum Wilson is leading Bournemouth with 10 goals, while Fraser has 9 assists. Cook, Solanke and Francis are injured and will not play. Overall, Bournemouth is not a bad team. Bournemouth’s goal before this season was to preserve EPL status and they will succeed in that.
Chelsea is a team that is playing well with enjoyable and offensive soccer. Chelsea has great goalkeeping, decent defense, really good midfield with strong wingers and good strikers led by recently acquired Gonzalo Higuain. Chelsea’s away record is 7 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses with 19 scored goals and only 10 conceded goals. Eden Hazard leads Chelsea with 10 goals and 10 assists while Pedro has scored 7 goals. Chelsea was in a bit of a slump for a few games recently, but these latest 2 wins brought them a lot of confidence and I see them as a Top 4 team this season.
Head to head, Chelsea has won 7 of 9 played matches against Bournemouth, including all matches that were played in Bournemouth. Even though Bournemouth has enough offensive firepower to make this complicated for Chelsea, I don’t see them winning this match.
