Argentina has not had a great start to their World Cup qualifying campaign and at this stage of the tournament, the South American giants are still fighting for a place in the top 4. This is an unusual spot for this side and as a result, it will be very interesting to see how this side plays. This international break, they will be playing Peru at home.
The last time these two teams met, Peru managed to stop the Argentinians from getting all three points as the game ended in a 2-2 draw. Peru are not a bad side and at home, they have managed to get some big wins against sides such as Bolivia and Uruguay. That being said, they will not be at home for this game and that will mean that they will not nearly be as strong as they are at home.
Argentina, on the other hand, will be without Sergio Kun Aguero after the Manchester City striker was injured in a car crash a week ago. That being said, there is plenty of talent still on the side with the likes of Messi, Dybala, and Higuain still playing for the home side. This is a game that Argentina must win, especially since it is at home.
Having considered everything, it is hard to see a situation where Argentina don’t win this game. They are the better team, comfortably and they are also at home. As far as betting is concerned, I think we are getting too short of a price to bet on Argentina. That being said, there is still value in this game. The over 2.5 goals is paying well enough and I think that is the best bet we can make.
