One of the games of the weekend in the FA Cup in terms of unusual match ups will see promotion seeking Championship side Burnley take on Arsenal at the Emirates stadium in London. This is a good Burnley side and they have won their last four in all competitions, tough to play against and hard working the team will give 100%effort on Saturday and while it might not be enough against an exceptional Arsenal team one thing for sure is that Burnley will not be lacking in effort. With Vokes, Gray and Boyd there are goals in this team too, although the last time Burnley won at Arsenal was 1974, that shouldnt be really used as a measuring stick as they have only played 10 times in the intervening period. Burnley are looking like a team that are pushing on and will be in the shake up in the Championship come the end of the season. If they bounce back and go straight back up to the Premier League it would be a huge financial boost to the club. I think this game on Saturday will be a fun one for the fans and not the cakewake the bookmakers are pricing it up as.
With eight games scheduled in the next four weeks there is no doubt that Arsene Wenger will be looking at this game as an opportunity to rest some starters as Arsenal have a massive home game on Saturday against a Southampton team that beat them 4-0 a couple of weeks ago. The Gunners have quality throughout the squad though and with Sanchez back and needing game time the Chilean should get at least an hour here. Ozil may get a rest but Giroud, Oxlade Chamberlain and Walcott will probably all start. At the back Mertesecker is suspended so the back four may be the same as the one that finished against Chelsea. Ospina will be in goals though as Cech gets a rest and Arsenal with some changes should still be able to handle Burnley.
I'm going min bet here but I am taking Burnley +2, I think they keep this tight and wouldnt be surprised if it took a late winner from Arsenal or even a replay to seperate these two.
